Visit the historical treasure, the Old Toll House, built in the 1840's and declared a national monument in 1972. It was originally constructed to accommodate the toll keeper and served as a vital checkpoint along the Montagu Pass, a crucial route connecting George to the hinterland. Travellers, including farmers, transporters, and postal carts, were required to pay a toll to pass through the pass. The Old Toll House is open for delicious pancakes and coffee for visitors, and take a short tour of the Toll House or stroll along the Biblical Trail.
