The drive begins through the Uniondale Poort and continues onto a dirt road clearly signposted “De Hoop,” with a prominent Mountain Pastures sign. Along the route, you’ll encounter points of historical significance, including a Boer War memorial dedicated to Gideon Scheepers, which adds an intriguing cultural and historical layer to the journey.
