SCST, in collaboration with the South Cape Music Academy, is proud to announce the 8th Annual National Choral Festival and Competition, taking place from 8 to 11 August 2025 at the George City Hall. This highly anticipated event is made possible through the valued support of the George Municipality and George Tourism.
With more than 1,500 participants expected, this year’s festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of choral excellence, artistic collaboration, and musical diversity from across South Africa. Participants will enjoy a comprehensive festival experience that includes quality hotel or lodge accommodation, daily breakfast and dinner, a professional group photograph, a commemorative gift, and detailed, constructive feedback from a distinguished panel of adjudicators.
The event will be hosted under the artistic direction of Mr. Jan-Erik Swart (Master of Music in Choral Conducting), one of South Africa’s most respected choral conductors. His leadership continues to inspire and elevate the standard of choral performance year after year.
Choirs, educators, and music enthusiasts from across the country are warmly invited to participate in this prestigious and enriching musical experience.
